Many nail techs incorrectly believe that choosing a nail drill machine is all about its power, but that's not entirely true. You also need to consider the power of the handpiece and its weight.

Handpiece Weight
Handpieces with high power reserves used for pedicure procedures are typically heavier. Over a full workday a too-heavy handpiece can affect the nail tech’s performance.

Torque
The higher the torque, the more suitable the handpiece is for pedicure procedures. Using a handpiece with low torque during a pedicure can cause the nail drill bit to stop. The higher the torque, the less noticeable the decrease in speed when making contact with the surface being worked on, even at lower speeds.

Speed
Speed refers to the maximum rotational speed of the handpiece. Korean handpieces have speeds ranging from 30,000 to 40,000 RPM, which is generally sufficient for nail techs, given that maximum speeds are rarely used.
