4g Pot
Available in two colors: Natural and Clear
1. Remove existing gel.
Soak off with acetone or use an e-file, reducing bulk and removing any lifted parts.
2. Prep the natural nail
.
Push back cuticle area, clean off any residue, “sweep” the plate, and refine with a diamond or ceramic bit.
3. Smooth out any perforations.
If the natural nail has holes or damages, gently reduce them with a bit.
4. Apply Fixee Gel
- For a repair: Apply Fixee Gel directly over the crack or missing piece. For extra strength on a crack, you can apply it over nylon mesh. For a broken free edge, fit a sculpting or paper form underneath the nail.
- For an extension: Place a sculpting or paper form under the free edge of the nail. Apply Fixee Gel over the form, shaping it to create the desired extension.
*Use a high-quality gel brush, guiding the gel with the edge of the brush. Avoid getting the gel on the skin.
Cure the Fixee Gel under a UV or LED lamp. Cure time: LED: 30s / UV: 60s
5. After curing, wipe the tacky surface with alcohol to remove the inhibition layer.
Shape and refine the nail and extension using a file, smoothing out any bumps and ensuring the shape matches the other nails.
6. Crucially, apply an overlay: such as a builder gel, or the base and top coat, to cover and secure the Fixee Gel. This step is essential for durability.
7. Apply your desired color gel and top coat, curing each layer as directed.
KOKOIST Base Gels do not require the use of a bonder or primer before application.
Store out of direct light and at room temperature after each use.
We recommend using a strong curing unit or else gel will not cure all the way through causing lifting or peeling. Follow the recommended curing times for each step.
Be careful not to get gel onto the skin. Gel applied over the cuticle or around the eponychium area can cause lifting. Uncured gel left on the skin can cause allergic reactions to occur. Discontinue use immediately if itching, redness or swelling occurs on your skin, and contact a physician.
